The IWC: Portuguese 1993 watch, originally created for a need of extreme navigational precision and accuracy, became the first wristwatch to use pocket watch movements. It’s intricacy is matched only by its practicality; and this print is no different. Trendsetting among watches due to i’s size, the IWC Portuguese features a streamlined dial with Arabic numbers to make the watch look even bigger than it actually was. With a diameter case of 43mm it was considerably larger than any other watch of its time and serves as a precursor to the large faced wrist watches popular today.

This IWC Portuguese lithographic print contains all the detail that the Portuguese has become known for. From the thin bezel to the leaf hands and sub-dial, this hand-illustrated print is perfect for the watch lover with an eye for detail and a hunger to explore. This lithographic print was pressed in Long Island City, New York on 8" x 10" 100lb FSC certified archival cover stock using the best Van Sons Elite Series soy based inks.
